Cravegna is a hamlet of 150 inhabitants in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. Cravegna was an independent municipality until 1928, when it was merged into the municipality of Crodo, which is about 2 km away.
For centuries, the main economic activities in Cravegna have been livestock farming, agriculture, and trade with neighboring towns. Since the 1960s, the phenomenon of holidaymaking has developed, particularly from the provinces of Milan, Bergamo, Varese, and Novara.
