The Rocca Malatestiana, built in the 14th and 15th century. View from the Piazza del Populo (on the sketch at the left of the Rocca). Here Queen Christina was received on the 1st of December 1655. In those days the square was named 'Piazza Maggiore'. The beautiful fountain, Fontana Masini, dates from the 16th century.
