The very ancient Cattedrale di San Ciriaco on a hill, with a wide panorama over the city and the Adriatic Sea. When Queen Christina of Sweden visited Ancona in December 1655, there happened to be a lot of snowfall. Christina was accomodated in de bishop's palace downtown, and disliked the hard way up. Still she liked to see some relics of the cathedral: the spearhead by which Jesus allegedly was transfixed at the cross and the supposed right foot of St. Anna, the mother of Maria. So the relics were token for her from the cathedral.
