Dedicated to the mathematician of the same name from Pisa, the science college Ulisse Dini in Pisa is one of the best and oldest science colleges in Italy, founded with the Gentile reform of 1923. In 2016, it achieved an FGA index of 96, 48/100 on eduscopio.it and in 2017 of 95.53/100, winning the title of second best science high school in Italy. In 2019/2020 it achieved an FGA index of about 90/100.
The secondary school was founded in 1923 as "Regio liceo scientifico di Pisa", one of the 37 scientific secondary schools established under the Gentile reform, one per province. It is located in the historic building at 36 Via Benedetto Croce, next to the Pacinotti Economic Technical Institute and the Galileo Galilei Classical High School.
