Located in the center of Pistoia, the palace belonged to one of the most powerful families of medieval Pistoia, the Cancellieri.
Designed by architect Jacopo Lafri, it passed to the Cancellieri family in 1609, who modified its appearance. In 1795, on the death of the last Cancellieri, the palace was inherited by Giacinto Ganucci, who belonged to a minor branch of the family.
Although it has undergone changes, its current appearance is still Mannerist. The palace is one of the most attractive features of Pistoia and a destination for many tourists.
