The church consists of a single nave with a barrel vault and a baroque facade.
In the center is the titular saint of the church. The interior is covered with very late frescoes , probably from the 19th century.
At the top of the entrance of the church is a very important large organ, still functioning and used for the feasts dedicated to Saint Joseph.
Works of great artistic value hang on the side walls: a painting depicting the Immaculate Conception by Pietro d'Asaro, known as the "Monocle of Racamuto", dated 1623; another painting dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of the Novelli school of the seventeenth century; a sculpture of the Gaginian school.
The painting "The Immaculate Conception" by Pietro d'Asaro was located in the Jesuit college (the complex was later used as a court) and was transferred to the church of San Giuseppe in 1776 after the abolition of the Society of Jesus.
