Alcamo Town Hall

In 1842, the pro-tempore mayor, doctor Giovanni Ferrando, bought a warehouse on the main square with the aim of building the municipal building there. Construction began in 1843 and was completed in 1865. In 1984 the palace was completely restored.

The facade is in neoclassical style : on the ground floor there are two windows with arches and the main entrance. On the first and second floors there are three balconies with stone shelves and galleries, dominated by a pediment and a wrought iron railing.

In 1910 (on the 50th anniversary of the revolutionary uprisings of 1860), two plaques were placed on the sides of the main balcony on the first floor commemorating the achievement of the brothers Stefano and Giuseppe Triolo, barons of Sant'Anna: this one on the left commemorates the uprising of April 6, this one on the right shows the heroism of the two Triolo brothers. Next to the central balcony of the second floor there are two roundels: in the right balcony there is an eagle , which is the coat of arms of the city of Alcamo.
