The church of Sant'Orsola was built in 1413 on a pre-existing structure from the 12th century. It has been renovated several times over the centuries and was enlarged in 1631. Fortunately, it still has the beautiful original structure of the Gothic cross vaults.
Inside the church of Sant'Orsola is the group of statues of the Mysteries from the 18th century, protagonists of the Good Friday procession. In addition, some sculptures of considerable value, attributed to Gagini and his studio, and to Gabriele di Battista, deserve special attention;
The remains of the medieval frescoes of the rock-hewn church of Santa Maria Maddalena are also preserved in the church of Sant'Orsola. The oldest entrance to the church is the one on the east, preceded by the beautiful staircase.
Today the church is used as an auditorium.
