The church has been the holy place of the Waldensian community of Palermo since 1927 .
Overlooking a small and lush garden, behind the Politeama Garibaldi , the neo-Gothic Evangelical Church is somewhat reminiscent of the Cathedral for its three-arched portico and the Catena Church. .
On the facade, the mosaic stands out with the coat of arms of the Waldensian Church , an illuminated candlestick resting on the Bible with the motto "Lux Lucet in Tenebris", referring to the Gospel of John.
Inside you can admire the wooden pulpit , a typical element of Protestant churches, symbolizing the centrality of the word and preaching.
The temple includes, in addition to the church , the pastor's accommodation, offices and classrooms for the Waldensian school (used until the opening of the Waldensian Institute in Noce) and also a large hall with a stage used as a theater .
