This beautiful crenellated palace, whose foundations date back to the 15th century , was rebuilt in 1889 according to a design by Salvatore Gravanti, respecting the original late Gothic style of the facade.
The palace is considerably large and is especially interesting for the beautiful Baroque style covered staircase, in the main courtyard . At the top of the mullioned window column is the coat of arms depicting a lion embracing a column, from the Abbracciabene family which is now extinct.
The coat of arms above the three-light window is of the Arone-Tagliavia family , whose symbols are Aaron making water flow from the rock, and the palm tree respectively.
