Description

Founded in 1997, the art gallery is located in the Church of San Calogero and presents a permanent exhibition of 40 of the 190 works donated to his native city by Giovanni Becchina , also known as Gianbecchina.

These are oil on canvas, watercolors, sketches and etchings that cover a period from 1924 to 1996 and illustrate the prestigious path of the artist, born in Sambuca in 1909 and died in 2001 and considered one of the best expressions of the Italian twentieth century . century .

The institution is not only an exhibition space, but also a permanent laboratory in which artistic-cultural projects aimed at increasing the potential of the area and promoting tourism are born and mature.
