The itinerary starts from Moncalieri (TO) and through the Park of the Torinese Hills reaches and connects the Basilica of Superga with the Sanctuary of Crea, passing by the Canonica of Vezzolano, arriving at Casale Monferrato. The route winds between the villages and vineyards of the Torinese and Monferrato hills. The path was devised by a member of the CAI of Casale Monferrato, Cesare Triveri, who walked it for the first time in 1990, for the only part from Superga to Crea together with a group of hikers. Subsequently, the CAI of Casale re-traced the path with as many as 130 hikers in 2000, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary, a date on which the Superga-Crea was named after its creator.
