THE CERONDA MOUNTAIN BIKE LOOP (ACM) is so named because it primarily develops forming loop stages alternating with connecting stages and extends largely in the valley of the Ceronda Stream. The route is characterized by sections with different features: a mountain and panoramic part, along the slopes of the Ultramafic Massif of Lanzo, and a mostly flat part that runs at the foot of the pre-Alpine mountain group, bordering the protected area of the La Mandria Regional Park. In both sections of the route, valuable environmental contexts succeed one another; some stretches offer a limitless panorama over Turin and the Po Valley. Along the ancient mule tracks and rural roads, one crosses inhabited centers, agricultural areas, and the historical and cultural heritage of the municipalities of the Lower Valley. Starting from Lanzo Torinese and initially reaching the Devil's Bridge Park in Lanzo, the route is divided into 5 sections that characterize the experience in various ways and require very different skills; it is therefore advisable to identify the section most suited to one's abilities to fully enjoy the route, keeping in mind that the duration of all stages is suitable only for the most experienced. The different stages or sections have been classified according to the characteristics of the route and the required skills referring to the various disciplines of Mountain Biking. Before embarking on the route, users should carefully consider the classification and assess the weather conditions that may alter the natural conditions of the route (mud, ice, leaves on the ground). Due to proximity to inhabited centers, in every stretch the rest areas consist of small tourist and agritourism structures typical of the villages encountered, and, to a lesser extent, mountain refuges. The routes take place on paths and mule tracks that are appropriately marked and largely on rural white roads and forest tracks. The length of some stretches and the characteristics of the terrain require good training and excellent technical skills, but the classification of each section allows for correct and responsible assessment in advance. Being a circular route, it is possible to access from any point, but the indicated direction of travel is binding to avoid passages that are difficult to traverse in the opposite direction and to prevent accidents. The itinerary offers the possibility to vary the route connecting to the area of the La Mandria Park, to the Corona Verde and Stouring sections, and also approaches the cycle tourism itineraries of the Susa Valley and the Corona of Delights of the Savoy residences.
