AzureFrom Cortina d'Ampezzo we cycle on the Passo tre Croci, along the beautiful Lake Misurina with its terraces, up to the very steep Tre Cime di Lavaredo. On June 1, 1968, 22-year-old Eddy Merckx was the first to cross the finish line here in the snow and hail. Motta had more than 4 minutes on the pants and Gimondo no less than 9 minutes. From then on, everyone knew Merckx was a super talent.
