Marco Zini, a local cyclist, takes us on a tour in the somewhat flatter region of Borgo San Lorenzo and strives to give the foreigner an impression of the area. We therefore consider this route a kind of "base route" that can be extended in all directions depending on the climbing needs!
This route already features a vigorous ascent to Olmo (550 m elevation), a quiet wide road that becomes increasingly steep and reaches over 10% in the last kilometers!
The long descent towards Borgo San Lorenzo provides cooling and relaxation.
At the bottom, we turn right and take the fairly flat and tourist road that runs almost parallel to the heavily trafficked main road Borgo San Lorenzo-Dicomano. Highly recommended.
The climb from Rufina to Diaceto is winding but manageable without going into overdrive.
A thousand thanks, Marco Zini!
