Lake Garda bike tour.
Lake Garda bike tour.

70km bike tour in the South East of Lake Garda.
600 altimeters.

The main POIs of this tour are:
- new cycle path (cycle path) along a canal
- ascent to the Torri del Benaco
- Transit along the shores of Lake Garda

The starting point of this route is the start of the cycle path in Bussolengo, where you can easily leave your car behind. This place of departure was chosen because of the proximity of our hotel. Of course, other starting points along this route are also possible.

Personally, I was very impressed by this bike path between Bussolengo and Rivoli. It is a specific bike path along a canal. Completely car-free. For example, this bike path also runs on an aqueduct (!) and this bike path also has hairpin bends to cross the ridge at Rivoli. An experience in itself.

In this route it is planned to take from the upper part of Torri del Benaco (ie Albisano), the technical office towards the center of Torri del Bennaco. Very nice, stylish and with some hairpin bends.
Alternatively, from Albisano you can take the descent directly to Garda. It's a pretty easy descent down to the lake. The disadvantage is that you can drive less long on the beautiful route along the lake, and let the part from Torri del Bennaco to Garda be just one of the most beautiful parts (cypresses!) and quietest along Lake Garda ...

The part of the route along Lake Garda is the well-known tourist route. Although this road is quite busy, I have included part of it in the route. It remains something special to ride your road bike along the beautiful lake at the same speed with cars.

In Lazise we move away from the crowds, through the south-eastern non-tourist part of Lake Garda. Very quiet streets, a real find!
Little by little we head towards the end/starting point in Bussolengo. One of the many (with tourists) unknown Italian cities, but where it is extremely nice to drink coffee on a terrace.

Enjoy the ride!

Thanks in advance.
