Venice is so crowded people warned me. No fun to walk at all. Well... depends on how you plan a route. Walk a bit further and you'll find silent little alleys en lots of beautiful picture opportunities.
This walk you can start (or end) with taking vaporetto 1 or 2 which takes you over the Grand Canal so you'll also see Venice from the water. Low Budget tip ;-)
