Bike route around Parco Regionale di Piana Crixia.
This is the long and challenging version of the bike route "PianaCrixia" with almost constant views of the beautiful valleys of the Parco Regionale di Piana Crixia and surroundings. The starting point may seem less logical: it is the most logical place to start if you are staying in Merana, for example in the lovely "Verdita" where Natasha and Nicolas welcome you very hospitably. Of course, you can start at any other point along the route.
Two climbs were added to the original route's 5 climbs (2 long and 3 shorter): the beautiful long ascent to Bergolo and the climb from Dego. The descent from Bergolo is very steep along a narrow road that is not in perfect condition. It is safe enough as long as you adjust your speed.
