Concerns a stage of the Tuscan part of the Via Francigena (pilgrimage route). The route traverses many medieval paths that are not always of the best quality. During this pilgrimage, it holds true: Pilgrimage is not an ordinary walk; it is also a struggle! This stage starts at B&B Arnolfo in Colle di Val d'Elsa and ends at Burgo Gaillano (outside the town of Monterrigioni).
Note: in the town of Ponelle (just before Colle), you can choose a detour route to the Etruscan baths. A beautiful old collection of very ancient hot baths. You can continue on the Via Francigena towards Monterrigioni from there.
