You depart from Bardolino, where Lake Garda glistens in the morning sun. You seek out the quiet back roads via Albarè and Tagliata d’Incanal, then follow the beautiful bike path along the Canale Biffis. 🌿🚴

The landscape quickly becomes more dramatic as you head towards Peri via Brentino and Rivalta – at the foot of a true climbing legend...

🧗‍♂️ Queen's stage: the climb to Fosse

This climb is a favorite among Italian granfondo riders. With a steady climbing rhythm, plenty of shade, and a beautiful view over the Val d’Adige, it is both challenging and addictively beautiful.

⛪ Quarries, small chapels, forests, and vast grasslands make this area unique. You ride here over the roof of the region. A rarely quiet place where time seems to stand still. 🕰️🌲

Via S. Cristina, La Pontarola, and Carazzole, you technically descend into the Valpolicella – but first, there's one last trial waiting...

A short but intense climb winds you up through the vineyards to the tranquil Mazzurega.

You descend towards Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella, known for its wines and charming alleyways. Along Domegliara, Ponton, and Sega, you cycle back over rolling terrain to the south.

The grapevines become olive trees, and the landscape becomes softer again. You return via Cavaion Veronese and Albarè to Bardolino, where a good glass of local Bardolino Classico or Amarone awaits you by the lake. 🍷🌊
