Bockholtz is a place in the municipality of Goesdorf and the canton of Wiltz in Luxembourg. The place has 60 inhabitants and is located 36 km from the city of Luxembourg. Bockholtz is known for motorcross sports. Bockholtz is first mentioned in 1281 as Boyheltze and also as Boycholz, this was during a goods donation. In 1334, the place is referred to as Boholtz and in 1471 as Boicholtz. The name of the place is derived from Book-Wood.
