Kautenbach circular trail KI 7

We took this wonderful walk on January 2, 2022, our first walk of the year. We hope to do many more!

For the route, we used the brand new pedestrian network "Projet Leader" in northern Luxembourg. Information and a link to the hikes can be found on the Eislek tour page.

The route can be started in 'Nocher' and also in 'Kautenbach.' We decided to start at "Kautenbach." We went counterclockwise, climbing through forests and small valleys of streams to 'Nocher.' Upon arriving in "Nocher," you immerse yourself in the picturesque valley of the "Nacherbaach," following it until it flows into the "Wiltz" river. The river is briefly followed and crossed by a safe pedestrian bridge, then continuing on the other bank of the Wiltz under the railway bridge towards Kautenbach. The road under the bridge was flooded; it was somewhat exciting, but we were able to continue our journey safely without wet feet. There is no other way to return to 'Kautenbach.'

The hiking network is still being expanded; do not look for signage, as you will only find it about three kilometers from 'Kautenbach.' If you go clockwise, you will find three kilometers of signage, and then suddenly nothing. A GPS track and/or a GPS map is therefore not an unnecessary luxury.
