Eschdorf: Eisleck ES2 & ES6 combination

We made this beautiful trip on January 25, 2022

For the route, we used the brand new pedestrian network "Projet Leader" in northern Luxembourg. Information and a link to the hikes can be found on the Eislek tour page. We combined two loops, ES2 and ES6. Both loops start at the spacious parking lot of the lovely Eschdorf town hall.

The ES2 loop is about 5 km long. We did that one first and then took the most beautiful SS6 loop. We walked down between the N15 and the N12. At no point did we feel that traffic was disruptive. At a hairpin turn of the N12, it is crossed to drive up to Eschdorf. This loop is not spectacular but still has its charm.

Back in Eschdorf, we could keep it at this loop. We opted for the ES6 loop. This one is simply beautiful. It goes down 100 meters over a distance of 2 km into the picturesque valley of 'Dirbech', which you briefly follow and then ascend over the valley of 'Millbech' back to 'Eschdorf.'

Everywhere we saw ice hairs. A nice trick from the ice man. According to Wikipedia, this is a rare natural phenomenon. We were spoiled with this rare phenomenon throughout the entire walk. Everywhere we looked, there were ice hairs to be seen.
