Route description in German: The car-walking paths of Vianden stretch over 7 kilometers in the picturesque town of Vianden. On the left side of the river sits the enormous medieval castle built in the 9th century in the oldest district, the Upper Town. The castle fell into the hands of the Nassau family in 1417 and was sold in 1820 for a ridiculously small amount of 3200 guilders to a trader who removed all valuables, including wood from the doors and windows.
