Route description in German: The mountain bike trail 11 in Vianden is 22 kilometers long and leads through the historic district of the town, where the powerful medieval castle built in the 9th century is located on the left riverbank. After the castle passed into the possession of the Nassau family in 1417, it was sold in 1820 for the symbolic amount of 3200 guilders to a merchant who removed everything valuable, including the wooden doors and windows.
