The S4 Mullerthal X-treme is a 13 km long cycling route through Luxembourg. The route passes by the ruins of Beaufort Castle, which is located in the municipality of Beaufort. The castle stands about 5 km west of the town center and around 35 meters lower in a valley floor. Originally, the castle stood approximately 23 m above the valley floor on a rock cone, but it has been expanded downwards over time.
