The J12 route in Luxembourg starts from Junglinster and is 11 kilometers long. It is a hiking trail that can be traversed on foot. Along the route is the famous procession in Echternach, which attracts thousands of pilgrims every year on the first Tuesday after Pentecost. The pilgrims dance to the rhythm of a polka through the city to the basilica, which houses the crypt and the tomb of Saint Willibrord, an Irish monk and missionary who founded the Benedictine chapel in 698.
