Route description in German: This route leads from Vianden to Ettelbruck and is 27 km long. It offers a scenic walk where you can discover the historic old town of Vianden with its castle built in the 9th century. The castle was sold in 1820 for a symbolic price of 3200 guilders to a merchant who removed everything valuable, including the wooden doors and windows. Restoration began in 1865 and today the castle is a popular attraction in Luxembourg.
