We did this beautiful bi-directional hike which is well signposted on 04.06.2023

You can park in the CR163 pedestrian car park in Bettembourg. The signage only starts at the fork in the forest where you can choose the direction on foot.

This beautiful hike, which mainly passes through the forest of Bettembourg, is via the Minett Trail. Abweiler's walking car is also often encountered. It is 10.7 km long and only marked on one side with a blue flag on a white background.

Anyone who says forest knows that there is a lot of nature. The train and tram lines that used to cross the forest have been converted into beautiful walking and biking trails. Once out of the forest, you have a wonderful view of the surroundings. The hike continues through the beautiful village of Abweiler. After that, you can enjoy the magnificent views until you dive back into the forest to return to the starting point via bridges and along a pond with loudly croaking toads.
