We did this beautiful Schlindermanderscheid walking car on 17.10.2023

This route is well signposted on two sides.

The departure of this pedestrian car is usually in Schlindermanderscheid. We made our way to the train station Goebelsmühle. Goebelsmühle is a village with a railway station in the valley of the Sûre. We drove the road clockwise.

Since construction work was pending, a diversion was planned. Later it turned out that there was no need to follow them. With the detour we crossed a ferry bridge over the Wiltz to get back on the road.

The route follows the N27 until you turn into a road next to the railway tracks, then quickly turn right onto a semi-paved path (Unterm Alten Weg). It can be assumed that this was the old road in the direction of Schlindermanderscheid. After a fairly steep climb, you will reach Schlindermanderscheid on the CR348, which you follow through the village. The church, with its sober interior, is well worth a visit.

After passing through the village, you enter a forest where, following narrow paths, you reach the place (rock) called Malpaartes Castle. Renert lives in the castle of Malpaartes.

From here, the path leads down into the valley of the Schlënnerbach. Follow the valley to the outskirts of Schlindermanderscheid. From here you follow the side of the Sûre valley to the Goebelmühle. Don't forget to enjoy the many beautiful views.
