We did this hike on 31/03/2025 (9,901 steps).
The route starts in the center of Moesdorf. We walked the loop counterclockwise, which meant we quickly started a steep climb. Over a distance of 2.2 km, we climbed from 220 m in Moesdorf to 496 m. Needless to say, we were frequently treated to beautiful views. The hike follows a small portion of the Sentier de la Petite Suisse, which is noticeable by the rock formations.
When walking a loop and ascending, one must also descend again. This descent went through forest and field with, how could it be otherwise, beautiful views of the lovely nature and the villages in the distance. In the distance, we saw the castle ruin of Pettingen. Pettingen is located right next to Moesdorf. The ruin is worth a visit.
