For this beautiful and varied walk we parked our car in the cemetery of 'Kehmen'. Along the valley of the Maisbich we descended to the mouth of the Wark, which we followed to the picturesque village of Welscheid. From the valley of the Wark we had to cope with a steep climb of about 220 meters by 2.8 km to Bourscheid. In 'Bourscheid' we visited the beautiful castle 'Bourscheid'. We continued to climb to a viewpoint at an altitude of 500 m, after which we descended into the Sauer valley to the village of Dirbach at an altitude of 250 m. From 'Dirbach' we went up to our starting point at 'Kehmen', altitude 490m. You probably already know that this is a robust walk to bite the calf, but the beautiful view will make you forget about it. Is this walk a bit too long for you?
