This beautiful hike is one of the 6 loops of the 'Mullerthal Trail', namely 'Mullerthal Trail Extra Tour B'. We parked at the edge of the forest in 'Bigelbach', a small village north of 'Beaufort'. Immediately we were spoiled with a beautiful view of the surroundings. The path leads along woods and fields to 'Beaufort', which we briefly touch to pass 2 campsites and enter the valley of the 'Birkbach', a stream located in a beautiful valley surrounded by rock formations. After leaving the "Birkbachtal", we pass an old quarry that was still in operation until 1957. One can still clearly see the railway clause along which the extracted stone was transported by trains. In addition, the walk through the forest goes back to 'Bigelbach'.
