This hike is highly recommended in good weather. The breathtaking view and the beautiful valleys of the streams provide the hiker with peace and relaxation through the babbling water that accompanies you along the way.

Berlé is one of the eight beautiful villages typical of the Ardennes, just a stone's throw from the N15. The villages located on the plateau—Berlé, Doncols, Grümelscheid, Pommerloch, and Noertrange—as well as the places in a valley—Schleif, Sonlez, and Winseler—together form the municipality of Winseler.

The municipality of Winseler (1000 inhabitants) is located south of the Ösling, where the "mountains" are still pleasant.

The largest shopping center Pommerloch in the Ösling is located in the municipality of Winseler, which has several restaurants, Delhaize, and an experience where you can buy hiking equipment. In Noertrange, there is an airfield, where you can go skydiving, and in Doncols lies Le Bohey, where you can enjoy good food and purchase wine.

The Ösling lies at an altitude of about 400 to 500 meters above sea level. The region is actually an eastern foothill (hence the name) of the Ardennes and mainly consists of wooded hills and river valleys.
