Description by the author

The route starts at the parking lot of the Reisdorf bus station, but you can also park at the Reisdorfer Church. It immediately takes almost 3.4 km of ascent to Beaufort, with beautiful views of the Sûre Valley along the way. In Beaufort, you pass the large ruins of the castle, followed by a short ascent. You descend into a stream valley and climb up to Haller. After Haller, you descend into the valley of the Black Ernz, passing several rock formations. You are now in the Little Switzerland, in Müllerthal. You cycle through this valley along a waterfall; this part of Luxembourg is very touristy and can therefore be quite busy on this road during the high season. You move away from the valley of the Black Ernz (Müllerthal) via the Road from Müllerthal, then you cycle via a detour through Breidweiler to Consdorf, passing several rock formations along the way.

Then you take the empty paved bike path along an old railway track (bicycle path 2, PC2) towards Echternach, past several rock formations down through the Lauterburenbach valley. You do not follow the bike path all the way to Echternach, but leave it halfway and cycle along a branch of this bike path to the hamlet of Kalkesbach. You cycle along side roads with a detour to Berdorf. On some sections of these side roads, the pavement is somewhat damaged. From Berdorf, you descend with several rock formations on both sides of the road to the Black Valley, etc. Then it goes up to Beaufort and down to Dillingen in the Sûre Valley.

In Dillingen, you cross the border (and cross the Sûre). You have been following the Sûre north for quite a while now; the road on this side of the Sûre Valley is noticeably quieter than on the Luxembourg side (N10). In Wallendorf, it goes up to Niedersgegen and down into the Our valley. Afterwards, you cycle back to Wallendorf and follow the Sûre to the stage destination Reisdorf.

In August 2021, several roads were closed due to damage from heavy rainfall in July 2021 and road works, but they could still be crossed everywhere by racing bike.
