Ķekaviņa River (also Ķekava, in upstream Bakāne) is a left tributary of the Daugava River in Kekava Baldone Regions, with length of 29 km, the fall - 30.5 m. It starts near Ģediņkalns, in the south from Skurbenieki. It flows through the Upmale hilly plain of the Middle lowlands, at the mouth through the Tīreļi plain. In the upper and the middle it mostly flows through wooded areas with low marshy shores. In lower the banks are higher. It flows into the Sausā Daugava near Ķekava. The largest tributaries: Sūnupīte River (8 km), Butleru brook, Zites brook, Mellais brook, Ķežupīte River. At Jenči from Ķekaviņa the Upmalnieku ditch is branching off what connects it with the Misa River. Ķekaviņa is connected with the Misa also by Daugava-Misa canal what connects to the river after the Riga bypass A5 and during the floods directs water to Misa.
