The collection consisted of natural history objects in the fields of astronomy, earth sciences, and biology, particularly from Twente and the surrounding area. Through a diorama, many different landscapes with various mammals were displayed. The natural history museum had a museum shop. In 2007, Natuurmuseum Enschede merged into TwentseWelle, together with Museum Jannink and the Van Deinse Institute. The collection has been transferred and will be exhibited again at the new location.
