Weldam is a castle and havezate on an estate located in the Markelose hamlet Kerspel Goor in the Dutch municipality of Hof van Twente. It is located between the towns of Diepenheim and Goor in the province Overijssel. In 1389 weldam is first written about. In this period the property was owned by Wolder van den Weldamme, a fief of the bishop of Utrecht. For several centuries, Weldam and havezate Twickel were closely linked on many occasions. From the year 1506 both castles were owned by John III of Twickelo. After his death, both his daughters inherited a castle. As a result, Weldam came into the possession of the noble ripperda family for a long time.
