The Canisius College of the Jesuit order was a Catholic boys' boarding school in Nijmegen. This boarding school existed in this form from 1900 to 1970. There was a gymnasium, a HBS (Higher Civic School), and a commercial school. In total, about 55,000 boys attended their secondary education there, including former Prime Minister Ruud Lubbers and D66 leader Hans van Mierlo.
