Windlust is a flour mill in Nootdorp. The mill is a national monument and is located on the edge of the built-up area of Nootdorp, along the road from Nootdorp to Pijnacker, 50 meters from the Dobbeplas.
On the place where the Windlust now stands, a seesaw mill has stood since about 1625. When that mill was built, there were 28 houses in Nootdorp. This seesaw mill was bought in 1880 by Huibert Blonk, miller in Zegwaard. His eldest son Arend became the miller of the Nootdorpse Windlust. In 1885 Huibert bought the thatched, octagonal run and snuff mill Windlust, which had been built in 1781 on the Hopsteeg tower of the delft city wall. That windmill had become superfluous there, because they had switched to steam power. The old seesaw mill was demolished and an octagonal stone substructure was built on the same spot. The Delftse Windlust was then reassembled as a flour mill.
