Description

According to tradition, Saint Willibrord (658-739) preached and baptized in this place. Research has shown that this cannot be true. Moreover, the original well has been demolished, and the current well is a little further away. It is certain that for centuries pilgrimages have been made to this holy place, the water of which is said to help as an effective remedy for fever and childhood diseases.
