Blue Lock, also known as the Bovensas, is a hamlet in the municipality of Steenbergen in the Dutch province of North Brabant and is located in the southeast of this municipality, between Steenbergen and Kruisland.
The hamlet consists of about thirty houses and is situated approximately two kilometers from Steenbergen, at the intersection of the waterways Steenbergse Vliet, Roosendaalse Vliet, and the Kleine Aa, which flows all the way to the Belgian Kalmthout. The hamlet likely owes its name to the nearby locks complex of the same name, specifically to the blue color of the lock gates. The lock complex dates back to 1822; the nearby lock master's house was built in 1835. The water area near and around the hamlet is very popular with sport fishermen due to the relatively flat banks.
