Museum Palthehuis is a historical museum in the city of Oldenzaal in the province of Overijssel. It is located in the centre of Oldenzaal, in a seventeenth-century patrician house with garden and coach house. It is located at Marktstraat 13 in a former house of the Palthe.Museum Palthehuis family in a successor of the association "De Oldenzaalsche Oudheidkamer" which was founded on October 24, 1906. At that time, they had a collection of historical objects that were housed in a room of the town hall. In 1916 it was transferred to the rented Michgorius House in Oldenzaal. When she died in 1928, the last occupant of the building at nearby Marktstraat 13, Gulia Palthe, bequeathed her property to this Antiquities Room. On 7 July 1929, the Antiquities Chamber took the building into use.
