The Uddelermeer is a small lake located in the Veluwe near the village of Uddel. It forms the source of the Hierdensche Beek. The lake probably originated as a pingo remnant or ice core hill. In the case of the Uddelermeer, this happened during the Saalian, one of the last ice ages. After the melting of the ice core, only the depression remained, which now forms the lake. The lake has a depth of approximately 17 meters. The meltwater valley is wedged between the ridges of Ermelo and Apeldoorn.
