The Erasmusbridge is designed by Ben van Berkel and created in 1996. The bridge is 808 meters long 139 meter high. Due to its specific shape, it has the nickname the Swan ("De Zwaan"). Just after the opening, it was discovered that the bridge started to swing at winforces bigger than 6, due to certain vibrations when the cables are moist. A new cover on the cables fixed this problem.
