Oud-Alblas is a village in the South Holland municipality of Molenwaard, covering an area of 1314 hectares. It is one of the oldest villages in the Alblasserwaard and had 2267 inhabitants and 798 houses on January 1, 2012. Alblasserdam originally was a hamlet of Oud-Alblas.
Oud-Alblas, together with Bleskensgraaf, Brandwijk, Molenaarsgraaf, Goudriaan, Ottoland, and Wijngaarden, belonged to the municipality of Graafstroom. Since 2013, this municipality has merged into Molenwaard. Oud-Alblas has three windmills, including the corn mill De Hoop from 1844. The nineteenth-century N.H. Church has a brick tower from the fourteenth century.
There are several farms with historical value along the river Alblas. Cyclists following the signposted 'Molenroute' pass through Oud-Alblas. Hikers can walk the (signposted) Oud-Alblaspad that has been laid out in the area around Oud Alblas. There are also walking opportunities in the nearby Alblasserbos.
