The Kerkhovense Mill, or Unyielding, is a round stone post mill located in Oisterwijk. This mill was built in 1895 to replace a burned-down standard mill, in a place where a mill has stood for hundreds of years. The mill had three pairs of grinding stones: one for grinding flour for consumption, one for grinding animal feed, and one for grinding bark. The function of the bark mill was important for the tanneries in the region. The presence of flammable dust during the bark grinding led to a fire in the mill in 1912. It was then decided to seal all openings to extinguish the fire. The Kerkhovense Mill was restored using parts from the interior of a decommissioned polder mill in Barendrecht. However, as a result of the fire, the structure has cracked, causing the mill to have moisture problems since the restoration.
