Molecaten Estate

Description

The name Molecaten, which already occurs in the 14th century, indicates a 'cote' or farm near a water mill. From 1597 there is a water mill here. The rich history of the area is still visible. On the estate is the Mariabeuk, with 400 years one of the oldest beech trees in the Netherlands. From 1858 to 2007 there was an inn on the estate. In addition to the vml. inn is a watermill of the type Bovenslagmolen. The estate is a good starting point to stretch your legs for a short walk. Estate and watermill are open from sunrise to sunset
