De Scheg is the artificial ice rink of Deventer. The skating rink is part of a sports complex in the Colmschate district. In addition to the ice rink, the complex includes a subtropical swimming pool and some sports halls. The ice rink was founded in 1992. Before that, skating took place in the IJsselstadion. In October 2011, the roof of the ice rink was completed. This had to compete with the IJsbaan Twente in Enschede. A week later the 42nd IJsselcup was held. In October 2019, De Scheg is the number 6 on the list of fastest ice rinks in the Netherlands.
