Frieswijk Estate

Estate Frieswijk is a 150-hectare estate 2 km outside Deventer. The estate is partly subject to the NSW (Nature Conservation Act) and is open to walkers between sunrise and sunset.
The estate has a rich history dating back to the 14th century. The estate, designed in English landscape style, features alternating fields, meadows, forests, and bodies of water. This creates a surprising walk. The estate has 5 farmhouses, two residences, and a coach house. Since 1950, the estate has been managed by the Foundation Estate Frieswijk.
Guided Tours
There are 2 guides on the estate who lead groups and tell about the past and current use of the estate. Each year, dates are scheduled for guided tours which you can easily attend. Start at the entrance of the estate on the Raalterweg by the columns.
